Mount Richmond Cemetery

Mount Richmond Cemetery came about after its affiliate Silver Lake cemetery was filled by 1909. The Hebrew Free Burial Association (HFBA), the organization behind Mount Richmond Cemetery, purchased its second cemetery in Staten Island, Mount Richmond. This 23-acre burial cemetery situated on the south side of Clarke Avenue east of Arthur Kill Road adjacent to the United Hebrew Cemetery. At Mount Richmond, the HFBA has provided dignified burials to 55,000 of the Jewish poor and continues to bury about 400 each year.
